In a state of play

I firmly believe in lifetime learning and exploration.

I possess endless curiosity and capacity to learn and explore. This has enabled me to thrive in fast paced environments, especially in consulting. Juggling various projects simultaneously, immersing myself into client and industry contexts, and translating theory into practice are my bread and butter. And I love it.

Through my work, I've demonstrated my ability in analysing problems, navigating ambiguity, training, up-skilling, and empowering global leaders, students and professionals of all levels to achieve their goals.

I am a motivated and accomplished Strategic Leadership professional with a track record of success in business transformation through management consulting, learning programmes, global business strategy, business management, proposition and service design.

I am …

a Design Management & Strategy Specialist

Three years of studying Design Management in Switzerland have produced numerous design and strategy project outputs. The experience that has resulted from this time, years later is still highly relevant to my work today. I still look back at research, methods, tools, frameworks, papers, projects and reports produced during this time. I build on them for my client work and have since gained even deeper expertise in strategic design and management consulting. The BA Design Management International has fast tracked my career and proven valuable to clients and employers alike.

I like to summarise my career path so far using the Design Ladder:

The framework – with which all designers are familiar with – describes the 4 rungs an organisation needs to climb as it increases its design maturity and builds capability. Why? Because organisations who have climbed the ladder are more successful, resourceful and innovative (McKinsey, Business Value of Design, 2018).

I’ve experienced design in multinationals, public sector organisations, growth-stage businesses and start-ups on each of the 4 rungs.

I have worked in organisations on rung 1, Non-Design, who were just beginning to use design. I have also worked with organisation that have transitioned from rung 2-3, beginning to utilise design to enhance processes and interactions, rather than only as form giving to make ‘things pretty’.

I have also been fortunate enough to work with organisations that have embedded design as a skillset and way of thinking so deeply into their operations, processes, products and services that it has become ‘just part of how we do things here’. This is where the bulk of my work has been. Find out more about my work
